xin chao, janene, you missed a v-mail b/c i put the wrong address. so ask veta to send it to you (if you want to see it) and please make sure she hasn’t put my dog, sweet little chompers, to sleep. ha long bay (a long way), was very nice, but a bit boring. it’s a sleepy little fishing town. i went on a six-hour boat trip around the bay and explored a couple caves. thank god these were clean and had no birds or bats or creepy bugs. the seafood was very delicious, but nothing too interesting happened. my new guide is ok, no hanky panky to write about. thank you, chip, for ruining what little hopes for love i had on this trip. chip informed me that asian women often stroke and touch each other. well, perhaps they are all muff divers!! anyway, i am back in hanoi and ready to have some fun b/c i have free time. my 9 to 7 sightseeing job is over and now it’s time for some hello kitty! tonight, i’m going to hit the town and tomorrow i’m going to stroll/cyclo about the city. i contacted a woman here who gives advice on local artists and she may meet me to introduce me to some new, hot talent. funny, she’s a new yorker. i guess she couldn’t topple the art world in nyc, so she moved to hanoi to take advantage of even poorer, more starving artists. however, she will assist buyers in avoiding copies. apparently, that’s the big scam here. i went in one gallery and saw the mona lisa. when was it moved to hanoi? my favorite of all the places so far is ho chi minh city. that town had tasty spunk. well, tam biet for now and i’ll write as soon as i get back to sydney (the land of the carnivores). hey, richard, when i arrive in la, i hope we can meet up at the airport to shoot the shit. i’ll v-mail all the info. gary, i’d love to see you too if you so desire…let’s burry the hatchet?????? jack, i’m glad you had a great time in puerto rico. did you pick up any twelve year olds? if not, try bangkok. rob, if you plan to go to ho chi minh next summer, i have lots to recommend. ciao, sticky
